Lake Arrowhead State Park

On the north shore of Lake Arrowhead, halfway between Oklahoma city and Dallas, lies Lake arrowhead State park. The land surrounding the lake was purchased in 1970, and the state park opened that same year. Camping and Fishing are the main attractions here, with the 16,000 acre lake being loaded with bass, catfish, carp and crappie. Launch from either of the 9 boat rams, and cast a line from the lighted fishing pier. Campers will find a unique layout of 8 loops, each consisting of 6 camp sites. These are great for groups and camping with friends. There are also 19 water only sites, with some near the lake. The park also has over 5 miles of trails for hiking, biking and equestrian. Bird watchers can enjoy over 200 species that have been identified here! The head quarters loans binoculars, fishing poles, and even disc. you know, for the disc golf course! on a side note, be sure to wear your shoes when walking around camp at night. This park has plenty of spiders!
