Goliad State Park & Historical Site sits just outside of Goliad Texas, on the San Antonio River. It is home to one of four historical sites, the Mission Espíritu Santo. Built in 1749, and later restored by the Civilian Conservation corp in the 1930s, the mission, and near by museum, stand as a peak into the past of the Spanish colonial settlements. Fishing in the river is permitted, and the park is a take out point for the Goliad paddling Trail. The park offers dry camping sites, as well as water only, and water electric sites.
