Copper breaks stat park is about 20 miles south of Quanah Texas. Designated as an official dark sky park by the international dark sky association, star gazing here is amazing. Camp sites range from drive in sites with full hook ups, to hike in primitive sites. There are 2 lakes available on the park so bring your fishing gear and small boats. No fishing license is required in state parks, and you can borrow a fishing rod from the main office! its the temps get to high, you can cool off by taking a dip in the designated swimming area, but be aware there is no life guard on duty. Don't forget your hiking boots, or you mountain bike! They've got 10 miles of trails here, waiting to be explored.
