Buffalo Springs lake is just east of lubbock tx. a spring fed lake, it holds consistent water levels year round. you'll find a healthy population of large mouth bass, stripped bass, crappie, catfish and bluegill. the east end of the lake is a no wake zone, great for small water craft. there are lots of campsites, and rv hookups available as well. this lake does tend to be a party spot in the warmers months. If your looking for a quite evening after a day of fishing, dont plan a trip around any summer/spring holidays. fishing in the summer months can be a battle with all the jet skis, and pleasure boaters. Fall and winter belong to the fisherman tho.
